How we clean Watsonville
Agricultural dust is the thing nobody warns you about. When the fields around Green Valley and Interlaken are being worked, a fine pale silt drifts in and settles on sills, blinds, the top of the fridge and the inside edge of every screen. It is not dirt in the ordinary sense, it is soil, and it clings. Homes near the edge of town need window channels and screens attended to more often than anywhere else we work in the county.
The rest of it is straightforward, and that suits people here. Around the Plaza and along East Lake Avenue there are Victorians and 1920s bungalows with high ceilings and original trim. Through Freedom and Amesti, single-story ranch homes from the fifties and sixties with attached garages. Out toward Corralitos the parcels get bigger. Most of our Watsonville clients want a reliable every-other-week visit at a price they can plan around, not a boutique service, and the crews are set up for exactly that.
Watsonville homes, structurally
Median size is modest, with a great deal of the stock sitting between 1,000 and 1,600 square feet on a single floor. Downtown holds the oldest homes, wood-framed with tall windows, narrow hallways and floors that have been carpeted over and uncovered again. The 1950s and 1960s tracts through Freedom are efficient to clean: linoleum or tile in the wet rooms, carpet elsewhere, no stairs. Newer developments on the north and east edges add two stories and HOA landscaping. Household sizes run larger here, and kitchens show it.
